Everton director of football Kevin Thelwell has written an open letter to Toffees fans, explaining the club's lack of activity in the transfer window and offering his perspective on the current state of the club. Everton had no incomings in January, are awaiting the verdict of their appeal against the 10-point deduction handed to them for breaching Premier League financial rules, and are building a new stadium they will move in to from the 2025-26 season. "Whilst we didn’t add new faces, we believe we have a strong and robust squad capable of dealing with the challenges in the second half of the season," wrote Thelwell.
